Every Critic Needs a Rating System. Right?

I’ve been randomly throwing “stars” out there for the movies that I see and I got to thinking – it’s about high time I created my own unique system. As a former teacher, I thought about using an “A+, A, A-, etc.” type of system but then I re-evaluated that line of thinking, “You got out of teaching for a purpose, DUMMY! Why would you want to bring it back?!” I could write a whole thesis as to why I left my job as an educator after 8 years but that’s for another post …and for another blog. :)

I thought about keeping the “stars” around but then everybody…well almost everybody…uses that system. So, what was I to do?

Well, since I was thinking about changing the name of my blog as well (to “The REEL Box Office Buzz!”) I thought, why not give my movies a REEL rating – 4 reels, 3 reels, 2 reels – you get the point? There it is. That’s my rating system!

So…be on the lookout for a few of these to pop up in at the end of my reviews:

Movie Reel Movie ReelMovie Reel

See YOU at the Movies!

Lisa :)

I’m pumped about your system, and I hope you use halves as well! I also dig the “Reel Box Office Buzz” name! heahehaeh funny!

Ok. I think the top four are Holiday Inn, White Christmas, March of the Penguins and Home Alone, though you have not listed it yet. I am sure it is in your top 4
