Well, isn’t this interesting? Yet, at the same time this list is pretty much where I anticipated it to be. I said that the release of the controversial Golden Compass would knock a few of the “not so family friendly” movies off their spots on the charts…and it did. Notice Awake and Hitman have fallen? They’re actually #9 and #8, respectively according to Box Office Mojo and the Nielsen Charts.
Enchanted remains in the Top 5, specifically at #2. I look for it to bump back up #1 again before the holiday season is over (It’s THAT good!).
Two holiday releases, Fred Claus and This Christmas continue to do well. Claus even jumped UP from #6 to #4, surprisingly (maybe it wasn’t as bad as I reviewed?)
I plan to see Golden Compass myself sometime this week. I’ll have my review posted shortly thereafter. I had mentioned a bit of a controversy with the film. Thanks to MBalbo, more details were posted in her comments on my post. Check it out!
