Somehow I knew 21 was going to make the tops at the Box Office this weekend.  But, where did Superhero Movie come from?!  Apparently, I need to go back and research my Coming Attractions.

One item of note, the movie that got criticized in the comments of my last post, Stop-Loss didn’t even make the Top 5.  As a matter of fact, it pulled only as high as #8.  Apparently, the general public just may agree with the ladies who said in not so many words, “Ryan Phillippe? You’re kidding, right?!” Well, looks like they were right and little ole moi was wrong.  Goes to show you what I know!  It’s all good.  :)

Until next time, see YOU at the movies!

Lisa :)

While I would like to think that the American Public actually chooses movies based on whether or not the lead is a womanizer, I think it probably had more to do with the fact that no film dealing with the current situation in Iraq has fared well. And I’m not sure why…the topic is certainly inflammatory enough to get people talking/protesting, so why wouldn’t they go watch a film about something they feel so passionate about? Perhaps they don’t want to have to deal with it-the images from a current war, the very real emotions many American families go through every day, the reality of American men and women dying-for two hours straight?
ummmm…I went off on a bit of a tangent, sorry!-Jessica
