Are YOU Attracted to Your Mate’s “Otherness”?

I imagine right about now you’re thinking, “What the hell is she talking about?”  Ahhh…but there is a purpose behind the title!

There’s a new movie coming out in a couple of weeks, Nights in Rodanthe, the adaptation of the best-selling novel bydiane-lane.jpg Nicholas Sparks.  It stars Richard Gere and Diane Lane who pair up again as two main characters that come together in the most dire of circumstances (during an approaching hurricane) at a time when both need each other.  Your typical love story.

Lane takes the front cover of Redbook’s October issue.  In her article she describes what it’s like to be near to her husband.

It’s just invigorating to be around him. Josh completes me because I’m so attracted to his otherness.

Josh is none other than actor Josh Brolin, the son of actor James Brolin and step-son of musical great Barbara Streisand.  Lane and Brolin have been married for a four years.

To read more about her mate’s “otherness” as well as the making of the film, see this link from People.com’s article.

Nights in Rodanthe will be released September 26th.

Until next time, see YOU at the movies!

Lisa :)

It does make sense to me though; Alex is my complete opposite but we say quite often that it is BECAUSE of our opposite-ness that we work…we’re alike in all of the important ways but at a superficial level, we really couldn’t be more different.
