In Wide Release This Weekend

There are four major films in wide release this week – Ghost Town, Igor, Lakeview Terrace, and My Best Friend’s Girl.

Ghost Town stars Ricky Gervais, Greg Kinnear, and Tea Leoni.  It’s the story about a man who dies unexpectedly but is revived after 7 minutes only to realize he now has the power to see ghosts.  But that’s not the problem.  The ghosts usually want something from him.  The film is being hailed as a science fiction comedy.  With Greg and Tea it most likely is, probably a good one too.

Igor is a comedy in animation about a hunchbacked lab assistant who dreams of winning the Evil Science Fair thereby making him the ultimate Mad Scientist.  With voices from the likes of John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, Jay Leno, and Jennifer Coolidge, Scientist ought to be quite funny.

Lakeview Terrace stars Samuel L. Jackson who plays a good cop by day and a neighborhood terrorizer by night.  And that’s about all I need to say about that one.

My Best Friend’s Girl stars Kate Hudson, Jason Biggs, and Alec Baldwin.  The title pretty much gives you a clue it’s a chick flick and rather than spill the beans on the plot, I’ll let you read the crazy-mixed up idea here.

Until  next time, see YOU at the movies!

Lisa :)
